Watchtowers are building set up along the Transcontinental Bridge. They are similar to shore lighthouses, built next to the bridge with rooms both above and below the level of the road. They are known to contain water-filled submares close to the level of the ocean, which can be used to house sea monsters. This fact is kept away from public attention, though members of The Hunt Club are aware of it due to a bounty board.
Watchtowers tend to have a small staff. The four-man staff of Watchtower 10 is considered acceptable, and some have been known to run with less people. They usually have a Bridge Travel Agent, a supervisor, and a traffic reporter (though the use of a traffic reporter in current times is a mystery), as well as maintenance. Jobs can be easily doubled up, and this reduces the amount of necessary employees.
Similar to coastal lighthouses, a watchtower houses a light at the top of the structure which is 50 times more powerful than its land-bound counterparts.

Watchtower 4 - Payne Manor is located near it. Yvette Breckenridge had spoken to the staff here to ask them to keep curious visitors away while she did paranormal investigations in the manor.
